7 in 10 Irish people think there should be more women in political decision-making roles

A new Eurobarometer on Gender Equality Shows that 72% of Irish people think there should be more women in political decision-making roles, third highest in the EU after Malta (80%) and Portugal (76%). The survey also shows that 79% of Irish respondents are in favour of legal measures to get equal representation of men and women in politics, above the EU average of 70%.
