FOR ACTION: Call for Proposals PNCE 2010 - EU27 - communicating EU enlargement

On January 20th 2011, DG Enlargement (DG ELARG) launched  a new Call for Proposals PRINCE 2010 - EU 27 aimed at communicating EU enlargement:  http://ec.europa.eu/enlargement/how-does-it-work/grants-tenders/grants/index_en.htm
The call is open to entities registered in one of the EU’s 27 Member States.
The general objective of this Call for Proposals is to raise awareness about the benefits and challenges of current EU enlargement towards the Western Balkans, Turkey and Iceland. DG ELARG intends to support a limited number of projects likely to have maximum reach/impact with the aim to:
- increase public understanding for the EU enlargement process by stimulating an informed public debate about EU enlargement;
- familiarise people in EU Member States with the contemporary reality of candidate countries and potential candidates.
  1. Deadline for submission of proposals is 31 March 2011.

European Green Capitals 2012 and 2013

The European Commission has long recognised the important role that local authorities play in improving the environment, and their high level of commitment to genuine progress. The European Green Capital Award was conceived as an initiative to promote and reward these efforts, to spur cities to commit to further action, and to showcase and encourage exchange of best practice among European cities. Picturing Europe Competition

The winner of the Content360 competition was announced during the "Content360 - Zapping Show" presented by Ray Cokes in the Grand Auditorium in Cannes.

The prize of €10,000 for the category "Picturing Europe" was awarded by Ylva Tiveus, Director of the Communication Direction General, to Julien Decker for his film "My vision of Europe".
