Blanchardstown EDIC hosts annual regional Soapbox on 18 October 2017

The theme this year is “Brexit: Ireland’s Opportunity” and is open to entrants who are 18 years or under or those who are 19 years and over. Winners in both categories will receive a prize sponsored by the EU Commission with runner up prizes sponsored by the Europe Direct Information Centre in Blanchardstown. The competition will be chaired by Cllr Kieran Dennison.

As capacity is limited, there is a limit of 24 entrants for both age categories. Therefore this will be on a first come, first served basis i.e. the first 24 individuals to register by completing and returning an application form will be accepted for the competition. Email Siobhan Walshe at Siobhan.walshe@fingal.ie or phone 01 – 8905578 to register and get an application form. Forms must be completed and returned by Wednesday 11 October at 5pm at the latest to Siobhan.walshe@fingal.ie

Winners in both categories will also go forward to the National final in Dublin in November with a chance of winning €1000 and a trip to Brussels for 2 people.
