To celebrate Culture Night, Waterford Central Library will host a special day of Culture for Kids on Friday 16 September featuring a variety of activities for all ages. All workshops are free but places are limited. Hosted by Europe Direct, Waterford.

Gymboree: Music and Play
11am – 12noon
For Ages: 0-4yrs
Enhance your child’s development and love of
music through play, song, dance, movement
games and instruments.

Bright Sparks: Contemporary Dance
3pm – 4pm
For Age: 5-8yrs
Jessica Rowell’s invigorating class is
designed for girls and boys and is a lovely
introduction to the magical world of dance.
The class involves dance technique and
creative exploration. Jessica aims to get the
best out of each child, allowing their inner
creativity to shine.

Comic Art Workshop
4pm – 5pm
For Ages: 7-12yrs
Ever wanted to make your own comic and
create your own superheroes? Declan Pierce
will show you how to draw your own comics
and make your main characters come to life!

Create your Hero: Creative Writing
4.30pm – 6pm
For Ages: 12+yrs
In this creative writing workshop, Derbhile
Dromey will show you how to be the hero in
your own story, tap into your own
superpowers, travel to new worlds and go on
exciting adventures.
