Event Description

This event is geared towards local community or voluntary groups who need to increase their funding base? Maybe you have considered applying for EU funding but don’t know where to start.  The Wheel, in association with EU experts Access Europe, will be holding an information session on EU funding at 7pm on Tuesday 15th November in Central Library, Oliver Plunkett Road, Letterkenny. A survey of members of The Wheel carried out in April 2015 found that only 17% had experience of applying for EU funding.  Many cited the complicated nature of the application process and the need to have matched funding as real barriers to entry. Entitled ‘Demystifying EU Funding’ the information session will cover:  the overall EU financial and policy background for 2015-2020; funding opportunities per EU Programme (Horizon2020, ESF, Interreg, Creative Europe); the Europe for Citizens Programme; and importantly, how to assess your potential to access EU funding.

This event will be free of change and attendees should register with EDIC Central Library either by email hmcnutt@donegalcoco.ie or call 074 9124950.
