Part seven of the series airs on April 17th 2014 and will be looking at the asylum process inIrelandwith special interest in personal experiences of asylum seekers inIrelandand the implications of EU obligations on lifestyles.

Special guests include a person who is currently in the asylum process, David Leonard, Barrister and expert in asylum law and Killian Forde, CEO, The Integration Centre.  Bronwen Maher political activist will be the presenter of this week’s programme.

Discussions will involve the following:

  • personal experiences of the asylum process
  • asylum law and how it works in practice
  • how Irelandhas implemented certain EU obligations
  • how  integration is working
  • how Irelandcompares to other European countries with regard to refugees and asylum seekers
  • what  is needed to improve the situation
