Event Description

Waterford Europe Direct Information Centre (EDIC) is hosting a six week Irish Language course for beginners. Classes will start during Seachtain na Gaeilge on Tuesday 13 March and run for six weeks.

The course is aimed at people who want to learn the basics of the language and will be taught by the popular Frank Madigan, a retired schoolteacher. The course is  free of charge to all learners but places are limited so early booking is essential. Learners must be able to attend all six classes. If you are interested in securing a place and learning a “cupla focail” in a relaxed environment, contact Carmel by email on or by phone on 051 849840.

The Waterford EDIC, run from Central Library is a contact point for all queries on the EU for the South East Region. The Centre aims to promote informed debate and active European citizenship by providing EU information tailored to meet the needs of the local community. You can contact the centre by email at or by phone on 051 849975.
