Event Description

Did you know that over 1.5 million students from around the world travel to Europe annually for their higher education… and the numbers are growing every year. With 1000s of universities, research centres and higher education institutions offering world-class study programmes, Europe is the place to be.

Irish citizens are entitled to 3rd level education in the European Union, often for free or a fraction of the cost at home, just think of the wonderful experience they can gain before finishing their education.  Extensive details of the courses available through English can be found at http://www.eunicas.ie/

The beauty of Europe is that it offers so much choice. With world-class universities, higher education institutions and research institutes, offering 100,000s of Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree and PhD/Doctoral programmes, plus short-term exchange programmes, you can choose the experience that suits you.

One such student is Ballinasloe Soprano Rachel Goode, who will perform a lunchtime concert in the Church Gallery at Ballinasloe EDIC on Tuesday, August 23rd at 1pm sharp.

Rachel has won numerous awards and bursaries in recent years, performing various operatic pieces at the National Concert Hall and Dublin City Hall amongst others on her journey towards a career in Opera.

She has recently earned a highly sought after place on the Masters in Opera course at The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and we are really thrilled to have her perform here during a brief visit home.
