The Patents Office talk will provide an insight into all aspects of Intellectual Property, describe what patents, trade marks and industrial designs are, and how they should be managed, how awareness of intellectual property rights can assist in building a business opportunity as well as avoiding infringing on others rights.

The talk is geared towards small business-owners, entrepreneurs, inventors and start-up companies.

The Irish Patent Office

The Patents Office is a statutory office under the direction and control of the Controller of Patents Designs and Trade Marks and operates under the aegis of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.

Dublin City Library: Business Library Ilac Centre 

One of the roles of the Businessl Library in the Ilac centre is they are Open for Business’, and their focus is on libraries serving the business community, supporting entrepreneurship, job skills and creation, innovation, and much more while working in partnership with LEO’s and Dublin City Council Economic Departments.
