This Thursday (27 March) The Waterford Europe Direct Information Centre and the Waterford Institute of Technology’s School of Business are hosting a public lecture The European Parliament Elections 2014 – Why bother?

Format: A panel discussion on Thursday 27 March at 11:15am in WIT (FO2, Main campus, Business School Building)

Expert Panel: Francis Jacobs, Head of the European Parliament Office in Ireland

Dr. John O’Brennan, Director, European Studies at NUI Maynooth

Chair: Mary Mosse, Lecturer in Economics, WIT

The aim of this event is to raise awareness of the upcoming European Parliament elections and will also feature Europe Direct and Eures information stands from 12 noon to 2.00pm. The Europe Direct stand will provide advice and information on how to register to vote, eligibility, etc.

EURES (The European Job Mobility Portal) provides information about living and work opportunities in the 30 countries of the European Economic Area and Switzerland. EURES assists European employers to recruit in Ireland and Irish employers to recruit for hard-to-fill vacancies from Europe.
