Waterford Europe Direct is pleased to host a talk by Barbara Scully on “The ins and outs of Life, Work Balance” which will take place at Ardkeen Library on Tuesday 22nd September at 6.30pm. Barbara will also welcome comments and questions from the audience.

Barbara Scully is an opinion and feature writer, whose work is regularly published in The Irish Independent and The Examiner newspapers. She has also written for The Irish Times, Sunday Independent, Irish Tatler, Woman’s Way and various interiors magazines.

Her first love is radio and she presents her own radio show called The Hen House every week on Dublin South FM. She also contributes regularly to The John Murray Show on RTE Radio 1, Tubridy on 2FM and to Moncrieff and Talking Point on Newstalk.

Barbara is a panellist on TV3’s popular Midday programme and occasionally reviews the newspapers for Tonight With Vincent Browne.

She is a passionate supporter of women and is particularly concerned with sharing women’s stories and experiences on air, online and in print.

This event, hosted by Waterford Europe Direct, will attempt to explore policy solutions to the unprecedented challenges that exist for families in the current European economic climate. It will also consider the valuable research on children and families as outlined in the European Platform for Investing in Children (EPIC).
