Event Description

Local Donegal historian Kieran Kelly gives a talk on the Legacy of 1916 which includes the European perspective as background to 1916 rebellion. Most Irish historians maintain that this rebellion would never have taken place without the backdrop of the 2nd world war raging in Europe. Kieran Kelly includes this perspective in his presentation.

Kieran’s talk took place in EDIC Letterkenny and preceded a Heritage Walk of Letterkenny illustrating aspects of how the town was in 1916.
