Event Description

This workshop was sponsored by EDIC Donegal and Gaeltacht and to start, the EDIC manager gave a talk on the EU  & presence of the EDIC as sponsors of the workshop. She also outlined to all how the EU is working to stop this activity and help people across the globe who find themselves in this situation.

Human trafficking is a form of slavery that is still happening all around the world.

Sadly it is also happening in Ireland today; people are being trafficked into our country to provide slave labour or forced into prostitution. Others are being trafficked through Ireland to other destinations.

This EU funded workshop explored the following:

  • Understanding the issue of Human Trafficking locally and globally
  • Recognising the identifying factors of trafficking and exploitation
  • Local response to trafficking and exploitation
  • What we can do as EU Citizens

50 adults and senior students attended
