Europe Direct

You want to find out more about the European Union and engage in a discussion on its future?

There are seven Europe Direct at: Blanchardstown, Letterkenny, Clones, Portlaoise, Ballinasloe, Sligo, and Waterford City libraries. There are also two Irish language information points at Leabharlann Phobail Gaoth Dobhair and Leabharlann na Ceathrún Rua. Libraries Development, Local Government Management Agency is delighted to be working with the seven library authorities and the European Commission again, to support the Europe Direct for the period 2021-2025.

Each Europe Direct is there to answer your questions on the EU and to provide:

  • Information on the European Union
  • Access to publications and brochures from EU institutions
  • Access to PCs to search for EU material
  • A freephone link to the Europe Direct Helpdesk
  • Events, including talks, exhibitions and competitions.

More information on finding your local Europe Direct can be found here.
