Pre-Culture Night at Waterford EDIC

Waterford  EDIC is delighted to host a series of events for our younger citizens in the lead up to Culture Night 2015. The aim is to encourage young people to actively participate in movement, dance and other art forms hopefully leading  to a healthy lifestyle in line with EU policy on health and the fight against obesity in the young. These events will take place on Friday 18th September at the Central Library, Lady Lane, Waterford.


10:30 to 11:30 – Under 3’s

Gymboree with Hazel 

Play & Music – Discover melody, pitch and rhythm while building a repertoire of joyful songs in this interactive, fun-filled musical session.  Explore tactile exercises, instruments, bubble time and fly a parachute together.


14:30 to 15:30- Ages 4 to 7

Gymboree with Audrey  

Growing Young Minds – An hour of active FUN, with instrument exploration, song, dance, movement and games. Explore the power of rhythm, melody, tonality and beat while nurturing key physical, social and intellectual skills.


16:00 to 17.00 – Age 8-12

Drawing ComicsEver wanted to make your own comic or create your own super heroes like Spiderman, Batman or Naruto? You will learn to do just that with artist Declan Pierce. Learn how to create your very own Culture Night Character. Not to be missed for any 8-12 year old comic fans.
