Share of Irish employees taking part in job-related training below EU average

Less than 1 in 4 (23%) employed people took part in job-related training in Ireland in 2016 compared to an EU average of almost 1 in 3 (32%). The Netherlands (61%), Sweden (59%) and Finland (58%) had the highest participation rates while Greece and Romania (8% each) had the lowest. Across Europe, the most common reason for not participating in training is lack of time.
