Waterford EDIC to host One World Centre workshops

Waterford EDIC will host a series of workshops by  Waterford One World Centre throughout the month of December. The purpose of the workshops is to promote awareness of problems in the “undeveloped” world, e.g. Sub Saharan Africa, Latin America, Central America, etc.,in relation to agriculture, urban encroachment in rural areas, disappearance of traditional lifestyles and how the European Union can help to alleviate difficulties through planned, targeted aid. The workshops, given by skilled personnel, will place a  particular emphasis on “Agenda for Change”, the European Commission’s blueprint to refocus its development aid to make sure that it reaches those sectors and countries that need it most.

The workshops will be attended by locally based school goers and will take place on 4th, 7th, 11th, 14th and 18th and 21st  December.

2015 is the EU Year for Development.
